Where did you grow up?
The south side of Glasgow
What is your favourite childhood memory?
Mum and Dad would often bundle me my sister and two brothers into the car on a Saturday and we'd complain heartily about having to climb a hill but then we'd always really love it in the end, plus Mum always brought beautiful fruitcake or chocolate for the top. Our house was always full of people, folks round for dinner or just round for chat so my family was bigger than just the six of us really. I loved it!

What is your favourite jewellery item that you own?
Oooh that's a tough one! I can't choose a favourite each piece I own has a different story or meaning behind it each significant in its own beautiful unique way.
My engagement ring and wedding ring are hugely special to me there’s many a story and significance attached to them, my husband chose the engagement ring himself which is one of the main reasons I love it.
A crown necklace he also bought me has a lot of symbolism behind it and is very precious to me.
A brooch my Mum bought me - a beautiful piece of broken turquoise china set in silver!
Many of my own brooches I've designed and made are favourites.
Why did you go into jewellery design?
I love small and intricate detail, I love working with my hands and I love a technical challenge.
What inspires you as a designer?
I myself have been designed and made by an incredible designer. I love being like Him; always designing and making beautiful, new, joy-giving things especially from seemingly ordinary or boring starting points. It's is a beautiful daily, never-ceasing process and it's loads of fun joining in.
Did you know?
I once received an actual reply to a message in a bottle. It had travelled thousands of miles and been found in tact by a lovely wee family! It was all extremely exciting!
